My Psychiatric Mentor

To meet the critical training needs of clinicians caring for patients experiencing psychiatric issues, My Psychiatric Partner has developed a unique and robust online training platform called My Psychiatric Mentor. It is geared towards family and psychiatric nurse practitioners, primary care providers, and physician assistants, which are the groups of clinicians that provide the majority of psychiatric care in the country.

This platform offers a broad range of teaching on skills and topics not found elsewhere in training programs or continuing education, making it a true stand out in the marketplace. What distinguishes this platform from other online training is its focus on teaching the “soft skills” of practicing effective psychiatry, addressing topics such as managing difficult interviews, optimizing patient compliance, and understanding and managing lab tests, among others. It also addresses effective diagnosis and patient management, recognizing and managing medical and neurological issues masquerading as or contributing to a patient’s psychiatric symptoms, and somatic therapy treatment options. Courses are taught by Harvard-trained psychiatrists, who are experts in their respective fields, and are a mix of video lessons and bulleted “clinical pearls” slides. Individual courses and discounted bundles of courses on themed topic are offered, and there is also a robust clinician community for ongoing support and discussion, where psychiatrists join the discussions and address questions.
