William Jansak, MSN, PMHNP

William Jansak joined MPP in August, 2022. He has pursued concurrent civilian and military careers, driven by his commitment to promoting wellness and resiliency in others. His over 30 years of bedside nursing includes the following departments: inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency, medical emergency, and intensive care. He has served over 20 years in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps (reserve component) including two overseas deployments and two humanitarian missions. His decade of psychiatric nursing, extensive training in emergency care, in-depth understanding of critical care, and accomplished military service have uniquely prepared him as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). After earning his Master of Science and board certification as a PMHNP, he worked in the psychiatric emergency department of The Ohio State University medical center. This dynamic environment honed his skills in rapid and accurate psychiatric stabilization, diagnosis, and care planning. His military deployments and humanitarian missions developed his ability to provide innovative and culturally sensitive care.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Cincinnati.
  • Master of Science with specialty as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from The Ohio State University.
