Medical Marijuana

Recommending medical marijuana is now allowed in Ohio per the State Medical Board of Ohio, but Dr. Nockowitz is still in the process of obtaining his certification to recommend this treatment. Please check back again soon for more information, as we will update our site as soon as he is offering this service.

Per the State Medical Board of Ohio, certified physicians may recommend medical marijuana for the treatment of a qualifying medical condition. Under Ohio law, there are 21 such conditions currently, but only for the following conditions will we be recommending it when appropriate:

  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Chronic traumatic encephalopathy
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Epilepsy or another seizure disorder
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Pain that is either chronic and severe or intractable
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Sickle cell anemia
  • Tourette’s syndrome
