Julie Stone, MSN, APRN


Ms. Stone joined MPP in December, 2017. Her psychiatric treatment philosophy is grounded in treating all patients with respect and honesty, and openly partnering in their care. This includes empowering and educating patients to help them meet their treatment goals and enjoy optimal personal growth and recovery. Special areas of interest include care of adolescents, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse disorders.

Julie has practiced for over twenty-six years in healthcare, with the last eight years as an Advanced Practice Nurse providing psychopharmacology and psychotherapy for patients age 13 through older adult. Her credentials and experience include:

  • Bachelors in Nursing degree from University of Akron
  • Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Kent State University, with a concentration in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
  • Member of Council for Mental Health Advocacy Advising Panel as part of American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA)
  • County Leader for Ohio C.A.N. (Change Addiction Now) program
  • Poster Presenter at APNA National Conference 2018
  • Experience working in private practice, corrections, and community mental health across the spectrum of mental health diagnoses, including addictions
  • Program Director for private university, teaching future PMHNPs
